LakeTherm Pool Services is based in Mississauga and provides pool repairs, seasonal preparation and ongoing care across our listed service areas. Our work connects the parts you see, such as the water and cover, with the equipment that keeps the pool circulating, filtering and heating.
A pool problem rarely arrives with a clear explanation. Water may be cloudy while the filter is running, a heater may stop when flow drops, or an opening may reveal a leak that was hidden during winter. We start with what has changed and work towards an agreed scope, rather than recommending a replacement before understanding the cause.
We handle the services in our directory, including specialist and commercial enquiries. Tell us your equipment, site requirements and concerns so we can confirm how the work should be approached. The right plan depends on the actual installation, not just the service name.
Who we help
From Backyard Pools to Managed Properties
Homeowners
Keep your private pool ready for the season, address an equipment problem or arrange recurring care. We explain the work in plain language so you can make a decision without needing to know every part on the equipment pad.
Property Managers and Commercial Operators
Shared and commercial pools bring access, scheduling and operational requirements. We discuss the facility, responsible contact and service scope before arranging work. A service visit does not replace the operator’s own safety or regulatory responsibilities.
Owners Planning Repairs or Improvements
If you are comparing repair and replacement, start with the condition and compatibility of your equipment. We help identify what needs attention now, what can be monitored and what a proposed upgrade would actually involve.

How we approach a visit
- 1
Tell us what is happening
A few lines about the pool, equipment and symptoms helps us prepare.
- 2
We confirm the details
We contact you to talk through the issue, access and availability.
- 3
Assessment on site
A technician inspects the equipment and explains what they find.
- 4
Clear options
You get the repair or service options and costs before work goes ahead.
Market-Based Price Guidance
Use researched lower-end ranges to plan your budget, then confirm the scope and price for your own pool. A diagnostic visit is not a complete repair, and equipment purchase costs are separate from installation labour.
Lower-end market estimate
CAD $350–$400
per basic opening
Basic opening packages, not a full multi-visit restoration. Cover and fixture work, equipment reconnection and start-up subject to water level and package scope.
Attached spas, waterfalls, extensive debris removal, extra visits, replacement parts and additional chemicals may cost more. Full inground openings may exceed this range.
Before HST; HST is additional. Non-binding market guidance, not a fixed LakeTherm quote.

What Could Work Better in Your Pool?
Comfort, clarity and reliable operation depend on several systems working together. An improvement should solve a real problem, not simply add another piece of equipment. These are useful starting points for a conversation about your pool.
More Consistent Heating
A heater that starts but cannot maintain temperature may be affected by circulation, settings or a fault within the unit. We assess the pool and equipment together before recommending repair or replacement.
Discuss this serviceCirculation That Supports the Whole Pool
Lost prime, persistent pump noise and weak return flow deserve investigation. Pump condition, leaks and restrictions can affect filtration and heating as well as the movement of water.
Discuss this serviceFiltration and Water Clarity
A filter needs the right flow and serviceable internal components to capture debris. We investigate pressure changes, valve problems and recurring cloudy water rather than treating every clarity issue as a chemical problem.
Discuss this serviceControls That Fit Your Routine
Schedules, compatible controls and suitable equipment settings can make pool operation easier to manage. An upgrade should match the equipment already installed and the way you actually use the pool.
Discuss this serviceProtection Through the Off-Season
Closing is about the plumbing and equipment, not just fitting a cover. We discuss your pool configuration and the winterization scope so vulnerable components are not overlooked.
Discuss this serviceCare Between the Big Jobs
Recurring cleaning, water checks and observations help identify changes before they disrupt your plans. Routine maintenance complements repairs; it does not replace a diagnosis when equipment is malfunctioning.

Our approach to workmanship
The Job Is More Than Replacing a Part
Good workmanship begins with identifying the fault, checking compatibility and agreeing on the work. A new component is not a complete solution if the original cause remains, or if it does not suit the rest of the system.
Our approach is to explain the findings, discuss costs before additional work and check the result within the agreed scope. We take account of access, nearby equipment and the condition of existing connections. Questions about gas, electrical or other regulated work are addressed before that work proceeds.
We also explain what to watch for afterwards. A recurring symptom, a new leak or an unexpected shutdown should be reported with the conditions under which it happened. Clear information makes the next step more useful than repeatedly changing settings or replacing parts at random.
Our commitment
Every Reasonable Effort. No Empty Promises.
We will make every reasonable effort to complete the work we agree with you, safely and with care for your pool. That means investigating the issue, considering suitable options and being clear about what the job requires.
Some jobs depend on a replacement part, a specialist assessment or a condition that only becomes visible on site. We will explain those limitations and discuss the next step rather than promise an outcome that cannot be supported. Changes to the scope and cost need your agreement.
Open every day, 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM, including holidays. Urgent pool call-outs are discussed within these hours; hazardous gas, fire or electrical situations must go to emergency services first.
Repair, Replace or Keep Monitoring?
Repair may be sensible when the fault is identifiable, compatible parts are available and the rest of the equipment remains serviceable. A repair should address the cause, not just silence the symptom temporarily.
Replacement deserves consideration when damage is extensive, parts are difficult to source or a new unit requires fewer compromises. Purchase price is only one part of the decision; connections, controls and installation requirements also matter.
Monitoring can be appropriate for a non-hazardous observation that does not yet justify replacement, provided you know what change would warrant another assessment. Do not keep operating equipment with a leak, repeated shutdown or a suspected safety problem simply to see if it improves.
Send the equipment model, what you have noticed and any recent changes. We can then discuss an assessment and a quote based on your situation, not on a generic promise.

Frequently asked questions
What kinds of pool work do you handle?
We offer the services in our directory, including heater, pump and filter work, opening and closing, maintenance, improvements and specialist or commercial pool enquiries. Tell us your site and equipment details so we can agree on the specific scope.
How do I get a price?
Start with the lower-end CAD market estimates on our pricing page. Basic packages and diagnostic fees are labelled separately from complete repairs. Send the form with your address and the issue so we can assess the work and confirm your actual quote.
Is sending the form the same as booking an appointment?
No. The form starts a conversation. We contact you to confirm the details and availability before anything is scheduled.
Do you work on my heater brand?
We discuss equipment from many common manufacturers. LakeTherm is an independent service company, so we will confirm whether we can support your specific model and whether parts are available before any work begins.
What should I do if I smell gas near my pool heater?
Leave the area and keep others away, then contact your gas utility or emergency services from a safe place. Do not operate switches or try to relight the heater. LakeTherm handles urgent call-outs every day from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, but do not wait for us instead of immediate help.
